The bed was comfortable and the room quiet and clean for a decent night's sleep after 40-plus hours in transit. Although the water was only lukewarm last night and cold this morning so I couldn't shower this morning and I only had two sachets of coffee so I could only have one coffee in my room. All staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
Great location if needing to stay in stains. Rooms are basic and if not a little out dated mbut clean and tidy. Check in desk is staffed. Rooms seemed fairly quiet although quite close to the road. Reasonable price for a business trip definitely worth looking at as an alternative.
Would recommend. Rooms clean and spacious, hotel check in was quick and the lady was welcoming. It's a good location near to Thorpe Park. Only criticism is there's not many tables in the bar area, but everything else was great.
I stayed here on business earlier in the month. Staff were wonderful and kind especially the restaurant staff. I was put in a room with a lovely balcony that overlooked the lake, the view was beautiful. Only reason for rating as four stars is that the curtains were broken and where the room had a built in storage area previous guests left tissues and clothing (hat and socks) which is a shame that they didn’t realise before cleaning. I just would expect more especially with how three nights cost £360.
Definitely good value for money. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the basic necessities you’d expect from a standard hotel. Check-in and check-out were also smooth and easy.
Great location, right next to the River Thames, and literally a stones throw away from the the town shopping centre. The food and breakfast was nice here. Can definitely recommend visiting Groupon for great deals on food included in your stay. The rooms however we're tired and in need of an upgrade. But the beds were very comfy. Would recommend a stay here, and would visit again
Having read the reviews we were a bit nervous about staying here but we were very happy with our stay. We spent 2 nights having booked on Groupon. Check in was easy, we showed the gentleman on reception our booking confirmation included parking so this was not charged extra. We got the river view room we booked with breakfast included. The room was clean, comfortable with everything we needed including a hairdryer, iron and board. The bathroom is a little tired looking but was very clean. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice and items replenished quickly. Also available was choice of omelette, poached or scrambled eggs to order. We had drinks and food in the bar area on our first night which was great. Reasonable price and good food with friendly, efficient service. All the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Especially the lady who was looking after us at breakfast both mornings. The hotel is close to shops and restaurants in the high street and a short walk to the station. Nice walks along the riverside too. We would definitely recommend staying here!
